Rejection has a way of feeling final even when it isn't. These verses reframe what being turned away actually means.

“The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.”
Psalm 118:22 (KJV)
“He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.”
Isaiah 53:3 (KJV)“What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?”
Romans 8:31 (KJV)Psalm 118:22 is one of the most striking reversals in all of Scripture: the stone the builders rejected became the cornerstone of everything. Jesus quoted this verse about Himself. Rejection by human evaluators — admissions offices, employers, publishers, relationships — doesn't tell you your ultimate value or final destination. The builders were wrong about the stone.
