Pregnancy after loss is joy and fear at the same time. These verses hold space for both without rushing you past either.
// the word for this moment
“But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee.”
Isaiah 43:1-2 (KJV)
“What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.”
Psalm 56:3 (KJV)“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.”
Romans 15:13 (KJV)Isaiah 43:1-2 was written to a people who had already been through devastation — not people who were about to experience their first hard thing. The words 'fear not' carry more weight when spoken to someone who already knows what it's like when things go wrong. God doesn't dismiss the history of what you've been through. He walks into the next waters with you knowing exactly what you're carrying.
