Psalms 19:7-9 NIV “The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes. The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The decrees of the Lord are firm, and all of them are righteous.” INSIGHT There is such completeness and wholeness in the Word of God. The law of the Lord refreshes the soul, His statutes make us wise, His precepts bring joy to the heart, and His commands give light to our eyes, bringing clarity and understanding. Everything God says is trustworthy, right, pure and righteous. It is beautiful to see that God’s Word does not merely give us information; it transforms the way we live. As we receive it, obey it and walk in His ways, we experience the fruit of a life aligned with Him. The greatest reward is not simply what we receive from obedience, but becoming people whose lives reflect the God we belong to. I will not treat God’s Word as something I simply read and move on from. I will allow it to correct me, guide me and shape my choices. Lord, let Your Word refresh my soul, make me wise, fill my heart with joy and give me light. Help me not only to hear Your Word, but to live by it. Amen
