Living Words When Jesus was tempted by the enemy, he left us with valuable tools for our own arsenal. One of our greatest weapons is knowing what God has said and is currently saying. His words become a foundation to stand on when the world feels like it’s shaking under our feet. Jesus points out that the words continuously coming from our Father’s mouth give us life. In addition to studying the written Word, it’s vital we hear his voice. We were created to hear him. To be intimately acquainted with Jesus as the Living Word. Never doubt your ability to hear him, even if you’re currently feeling like he’s silent. Often he uses seasons of silence to stir our passion so we’ll press in for more of him. It may take time, but as you turn your focus away from your struggle and to the One who longs to satisfy you with his voice, you will hear him. Jesus, speak to me. I’m listening. Touch my mind and help me to still my thoughts. Thank you for loving me and speaking to me even now. I rest in your love and release my cares to you. I reject the lie that I cannot hear you. I believe. From Ever Present Love written by Brian Simmons and Gretchen Rodriguez
