Some years ago, some pentecostal missionaries came to my local community with the aim of starting a church. And those days, I was newly born again and praying in tongues despite my orthodox background. I used to attend their services because i enjoyed them and they pray alot in tongues and teach about the holy spirit. But one day I brought a book written by an Anglican denomination preacher. When they saw the book, they started mocking and talking down on the entire denomination. At the end of the day, their mission work didn't last more then two weeks and they couldn't secure any member despite manifestating the holy spirit. But on the other hand, that same Anglican church had been around for over a 100 years. The Bottom line is, I was raised in that same Anglican church. Growing up i didn't experienced the move of the spirit like some of my friends did but we were taught to fear God and develop good character. Indeed there has to be a reason why they are still around for century...
