PT. 1 Gal 4:1-7 V.1 -2 A heir/ess, though he is a heir, is subject or under the authority of whoever his father has set above him. He cannot exercise power or authority over his father or mother ...he is subject to that of others like his guardians etc. In that aspect he is no different from a slave because he can only do what he is told to do and go or come when he is told to do so. Everything he does must be determined by someone else....just like a slave. But he is a heir nonetheless. V.3 As unbelievers/ gentiles/ sinners we are bound by the elements of the world ... we're like heirs that have not come into our inheritance....we're like slaves. God created us to be His but we are not His in that state. We are indeed His creation but we are separate from him.
