*Can A Christian Be Demon Possessed? - Part 2* _Continuation..._ Like I said earlier, a Christian's only *solid and reliable immunity* against demonic possession is the *indwelling Holy Spirit.* 1 Thessalonians 5:14 warns against quenching the Holy Spirit. If the Holy Spirit is a _constant_ in the Believer's life, why then can He be *quenched*? In the first part of this teaching, I likened the Holy Spirit to water given to people in diverse measures. In other words, no two Believers have the same measure of Holy Spirit. Same Holy Spirit, *different measures.* If the Holy Spirit can be quenched [extinguished, reduced in intensity, stifled, restrained, dampened], what that tells us is that the measure of Holy Spirit a Christian has _perpetually fluctuates_. It either *reduces or increases*, depending on what is going on in the life of that person on a daily basis. It is for this reason, Paul cautions us to not quench the Holy Spirit. After you must have received the Holy Spirit, you cannot simply just exist and do anything, thinking you still have the same measure of Holy Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit in a human, that human is like every other human walking the earth: *an empty vessel & a house for demons.* This strikes out the first category of professing Christians mentioned in the first part of this teaching. They are *a mobile house for demons.* The devil doesn't respect anyone's religious title. Calling oneself a Christian doesn't scare the weakest demon away. In Acts 19, we saw what happened to the 7 sons of Sceva who went about casting out demons in the name of Jesus Christ. Most of the 'falling under anointing' that you see in genuine churches is as a result of the fact that either *Jesus Christ or a powerful angel* walked into that gathering, and some demons in some 'Christians' got scared, tried to leave and tumbled them over. The Holy Spirit is *not a tormenting spirit.* To be continued in Pt.3
