Sometimes the unbelievers immediate line of defense to discredit the word of God is this: Why are there books missing from the Bible? Why were those books not included? It shows that it was definitely man who picked and chose what they wanted and put it together and called the "HOLY BIBLE". Okay, so counteract their claim with this: When someone wants their bibliograpy written what do we do? We research, we get their personal accounts we even incorporate witnesses and corroborate events if they wish. What is the role of the person who wants the bibliography? They ensure that the person writing captures everything they wish to get captured in the exact way they wish. Follow up questions: If GOD is all powerful and all knowing and THE MOST HIGH GOD, is He capable of using humans to write what He says? Is God capable of ensuring that every detail is true and how He wants it to be? Is He capable of protecting His Word? You can then mention the many who were slain for just having the verses, writing, learning, printing, giving the word of God. So many died and were persecuted just for trying to translate the scriptures. For many it cost them everything. Ask yourself then, if God wanted Enoch, Jasher or any other book in the bible, would He have not done so? GOD watches over what belongs to Him. If you have doubts, ask yourself these questions: Why do I want to read those books- is it from a place of wanting to know more about GOD?- Well the Bible is so vast you can never finish studying it so it ought to keep you busy. Is it because you are curious to see what the other books have in them? Well of what benefit would they be to you when you find out, will it bring you closer to GOD?
