The life of a priest and as a jew was very difficult with all the sacrifices and specifications of sanitation, cleaning, disease, purification etc. that they had to do. How did the priests achieve it all? Aarons two sons were killed shortly after GOD had just given clear specifications to how HE wanted HIS offerings and sacrifices done. GOD showed man how to diagnose illness, even how to recognize what I suspect is mold in their homes... GOD is very thorough. I think about how Job would constantly offer sacrifices for his son's just in case they had sinned... To sacrifice you had to have stuff to sacrifice..I wonder if there were any who just had nothing to sacrifice...what would happen to them....well I guess they would have to make sure not to sin....I haven't gotten to that part yet in Leviticus. I think of all the priests in JESUS' day who were seeking HIS death and I wonder did they survive sacrificing to GOD? If their hearts were so evil how did they even survive.... because JESUS coming only revealed who they really were 🤔 The priests in the Old testament had to be a part of the sacrificing process....imagine having to get animal blood on you (on your ear, big toe, fingers etc) for each sacrifice...gross... It was all a lot of work and must have been very exhausting. In the end you had to eat certain of the offerings..🤔 I wonder why people of today in their ignorance want to go back to those times of sacrificing... I guess it all boils down to pride. They want to 'feel' like they're doing something for their sin.
