It's one thing for God to bless someone, it is another thing for them to protect those blessings. I know you'd think, “It is God's responsibility to protect the blessings.” That's only partially true. People tend to have physical insurance for every possible thing in their life. But when it comes to spiritually insuring their blessings, they do not take it seriously. Satan told God in *Job 1:10*, _Have you not put a hedge around him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land._ That _hedge_ is *spiritual protection*. Job was blessed, then he was protected - even the enemy admitted it. But Job didn't live an ordinary life. A person like Job isn't someone without a solid relationship with God. The book of Job started by letting us know Job wasn't playing around with God. *Job 1:1* tells us that Job was a *blameless* and *upright* man; he *feared God* and *shunned evil.* Read that again. Those are the major pillars of protection a Believer can raise around their blessings. Some people are blessed today but become a shadow of their former self tomorrow because they failed here. People ask God to bless them and when the blessings come, they abandon God. They get too busy with the blessings and forget God. Then the enemy strikes! They lose everything. God didn't permit that — *you are not Job*. God isn't testing you with loss. You got too comfortable and left a loophole for the enemy to take advantage. Not until one arrives back at their starting point, then they start fasting and praying. When God blesses you, do not become careless and unwise. Live in a way that sends a message to the enemy: that you're aware he's always plotting & scheming. - Pray consistently - Rebuke the enemy constantly - Strengthen your walk with God God wants us blessed and those blessings protected. But the major part of that protection job lies with us. Do the job. Retain your blessing.
