*How Can I Hear God's Voice?* This is one question that bothers the minds of many Christians. To answer the question, let's invert it. I'd prefer it be rather asked in this order: *“Why Am I Not Hearing God's Voice?”* Because the real issue here isn't that you are not wired to hear Him. The infrastructure that enables that is already in place. In *John 10:27*, Jesus said: _"My sheep hear My voice; I know them, and they follow Me."_ Another translation says, *"My sheep listen to my voice..."* You cannot listen or pay attention to, or heed a sound you are not capable of hearing. God is speaking. As long as you have the Spirit of God in you, it means that God has been talking to you. *Why You Are Not Hearing God's Voice* A Believer who has the Holy Spirit can still struggle when it comes to hearing God's voice. It all boils down to this: *Man is inherently stubborn, rebellious and always seeking to do things their own way.* God speaks through the indwelling Holy Spirit in man. First, the Holy Spirit nudges: _"Remember, you have not prayed today."_ _"What about that money you planned to give that woman in need?"_ _"You are not supposed to be watching that."_ But guess what most Believers do in such scenario? They ignore those reminders; those nudges. That was the still small voice of the Holy Spirit speaking - and *they know it*. But they intentionally ignore, rebel. God said in *Genesis 6:3* - _"My Spirit will not contend with man..."_ At a point, the Holy Spirit stops bothering them; after all they don't listen anyway. They'll ignore as usual and do what they like. It is only when one obeys those little promotings and nudges, that the Holy Spirit will say more. It gets to a point it becomes long conversations. So the question isn't *How Can I Hear God's Voice?* (You can). But, *Why Am I Not Hearing God's Voice?* It's simply due to *DISOBEDIENCE.* You don't continue talking to someone who is ignoring you and living like you don't exist.
