Our fruitfulness is in Christ. Jesus said, “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing” (John 15:5). A person may appear fruitful outside Christ, but earthly success is not the same as lasting fruitfulness. Whatever is not rooted in Christ cannot guarantee that its fruit will endure. But when we abide in Christ, we bear fruit that remains. We must therefore remain in Christ, because true fruitfulness comes from Him. We desire not merely to produce fruits that are visible on earth, but fruits that will stand the test of time and have eternal value. What God does endures forever (Ecclesiastes 3:14), and His blessing adds no sorrow (Proverbs 10:22). So, let us abide in Christ, remain rooted in Him, and bear good fruit; fruit that remains, fruit that glorifies God, and fruit that has eternal significance.
